Useful tour tips:


  • The tour is a self-guided driving/walking tour and held Rain or Shine. 
  • You will be provided a starting point (garden) via email confirmation entitled GARDEN TOUR INFO from GardenTourLeeCounty@gmail.com. At the first garden visited, the Garden Director will present you with the: Tour Booklet of Gardens including the map and the ticket for the Complimentary Boxed Lunch from Chicken Salad Chick lunch. ​You will show this at each garden you visit.
  • The lunch ticket is valid on the days of the tour with these stipulations:                                                                   One pick-up location only -- 2776 Enterprise Drive, Opelika location (Tiger Town shopping district)                                       During these hours only -- Saturday (11 AM - 2 PM) and Sunday (12:30 -2:30 PM)                                                                                                                Please note Chicken Salad Chicken is closed on Sunday except for garden tour pickups.
  • Please watch your step! Gardens may include stairs, uneven &/or steep terrain and possibly damp terrain. Keep children under parental control at all times as many gardens have water features. 
  • Tickets are valid both days of the tour. 
  • No re-entry to gardens
  • No restrooms provided at private gardens; plan accordingly. Restrooms will be available at the Garden Pavilion art the AU President's Home. Public restrooms are located at Town Creek Park or Chicken Salad Chick (Sunday only).
  • Photography allowed for personal use only
  • Comfortable clothing & shoes encouraged 
  • Map will be available 
  • Bring an umbrella or rain gear if necessary
  • Information subject to change
  • Pets are not permitted. Service dogs are welcome.
  • ​Covid Precautions will be in place.
