August 2015 We are happy to announce all tour gardens have been selected for the 2016 Tour! They are diverse and provide inspiration for many types of gardening. We thank the generous homeowners (garden owners!) who so graciously allow us to add them to our tour selection. July 2015 We met with Gary Fuller seeking additional Opelika gardens for the tour. Each tour we attempt to have a nice selection of gardens in Auburn and Opelika city limits and the Lee County area. January 2015 We are very excited to be coordinating the 2016 Lee County Master Garden Tour. Our kick-off meeting on January 27 was well attended and we are beginning to identify the many tasks for a successful tour. The Garden Tour is a great time for our Master Gardeners to work as a team to raise funds and educate the community about gardening. We will be asking every Master Gardener and Master Gardener Friend to be actively involved over the next sixteen months. There are many roles to fill to make the tour a success. We're looking for ideal gardens for the next tour. If you have an idea of a great garden to be considered please let us know. We will contact the homeowners and visit the garden. Tour updates will be provided at our monthly meetings and though the newsletter. Blog posted by Sarah Fair, 2010 Class & Webmaster. |
