What a success!!!  The Lee County Master Gardeners would like to thank the community for their overwhelming support for our recent very successful Garden Tour, which received rave reviews.

A special Thank You goes to our garden owners who opened their spectacular gardens for the tour.  Thank you to our sponsors and contributors whose contribution helped make our vision a reality. Our special partners, Auburn/Opelika Tourism and Chicken Salad Chick, were special keys to our success. To our many visitors on the two-day garden tour, we give you our highest gratitude.  Your comments and support was amazing.

Through the Garden Tour, Lee County Master Gardeners raised over $25,000 to be used for smart gardening and horticultural education and events throughout Lee County, including demonstration gardens at Keisel Park, Grandma’s Garden at Pioneer Park, and Carolyn Dean Wild Flower Garden in Opelika.  Additionally, Lee County Master Gardeners will use these funds to provide to scholarships to students to attend Auburn University and 4-H camp and provide focused grants for native plants and horticultural activities.  Success of the Garden allows us to continue to support these important projects in our community in the future.

Lee County Master Gardeners appreciate your overwhelming support and we look forward to providing our next Garden Tour in May 2018.

You are truly appreciated,
Nancy Golson and Susan Price
